Read a QR code from a photo or camera
Scan a QR code from an uploaded image or your camera. Copy the result as text or open the link. No scanner app needed.
Drop a QR image here, or choose a file.
How it works
Add a photo that already contains a QR code, or allow the page to use your camera. The decoder looks for the square pattern and turns it back into text.
If the result is a URL, you can open it. If it is plain text, copy it. Blurry photos, heavy filters, and codes that are cut off at the edge are the usual reasons a scan fails.
Hold the camera steady and fill the frame with the code. On a printed sheet, avoid glare from overhead lights.
When this helps
This is useful when you have a screenshot, a photo of a poster, or a laptop without a dedicated scanner app. It is also a way to check a code you just generated.
Treat unknown links with the same caution you would on any other site. A QR code is only a shortcut to whatever text someone put inside it.
What stays on your device
The image is read in your browser. AyukTools does not upload the photo or keep the decoded text after you leave the page.
Questions about this tool
- Why can't the camera find the code?
- Give the page camera permission, add more light, and hold still. If the code is on a screen, zoom in so the quiet zone around the pattern is visible.
- Can it read damaged codes?
- Small scratches are often fine. Folded paper, low resolution, or a code that is only partly in the photo will usually fail.
- Is the photo sent to a server?
- No. Decoding runs locally in this tab.
